Mortal Kombat 11 is right around the corner, and we’ve already learned who will be the first DLC characters – Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn. But neither NetherRealm Studios or publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have said anything else about the DLC. However, they have already planned a lot of content for the future, and a data miner found that we will see 13 DLC characters added in the future – post-launch.
The game files show 13 DLC listings, but there are no clues about the content. We could see six fighters and six costumes, or nine fighters and four cosmetic DLCs. Hopefully, we will see 13 DLC characters, but looking back at Mortal Kombat X DLCs, we could get two Kombat Packs that come with three fighters and three costumes.
Mortal Kombat 11 will be released on 23 April on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. European users that want to play Mortal Kombat 11 on Switch will have to wait a little more, as the game will be released on May 10.
Kitana Revealed, Boon Teases About Smoke
The creative director and co-creator of the Mortal Kombat series, Ed Boon, has also teased about Smoke coming to MK 11:
RT @hamood4631 @noobde Imagine Smoke Being Revealed O.O
Me: That’s not Smoke. That’s Cauliflower… the secret Ninja that was never discovered in MK9. https://t.co/v5SLlcIsUB
— Ed Boon (@noobde) April 11, 2019
As Comic Book noted, this tease might only be a joke, and Boon is known to troll the MK fans. Smoke was first seen in MK II, when he wasn’t playable, and got introduced as a playable character in MK 3, becoming a favorite for many players.
In other Mortal Kombat 11 news, we just saw the Kitana trailer which comes with a lot of interesting attacks, special moves and the gory fatality in which she uses the fans to cut her enemy in pieces.
