Great news for Pokemon fans! There will be a new Pokemon mobile game which will be developed by DeNA. The Japanese developer (pronounced D-N-A) worked with Nintendo for games like Super Mario Run, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Fire Emblem: Heroes and also for Mario Kart Tour which is set to arrive this summer.
In a recent tweet from The Wall Street journalist Takashi Mochizuki, we saw that the Pokemon Company teamed up with DeNA to create a new mobile game:

The game was revealed in the complete financial report from DeNA, where there were also plans for this fiscal year – which means that the new Pokemon game should be released by March 2020. Here’s a screenshot of the page referring to the game:
As you can see, we might learn more details about the game and release date in the coming months.
What will the smartphone game feature? Speculations involve the “Pokémon Sword and Shield” titles, which might be connected to this game. We can only wait and see what DeNA have planned for this “new and exciting smartphone game.”
Will it be free to play or include loot boxes? Will it be cross-promoted with Pokémon GO and impact the current AR game? It all depends on the gameplay and how much content the game will have.
One thing is true – all Pokemon Go fans should be excited to learn about a new game that includes their favorite pocket monsters. Hopefully, we will get some interactive battles in this game.
