Following a huge success in the International market, and being the top-selling bike in the UK, yet the Chennai-based Royal Enfield has no time for celebration.
On the official youtube channel of the company, the ruler of the Indian road, Royal Enfield showed how custom works are done. The company filmed a few minutes of what looked like a Himalayan, only turbocharged, yes you read that right, a turbocharged engine. The engine specs close to 411cc, a single-cylinder engine from the Himalayan with a Garrett GT 125 turbocharger. This gives the Himalayan an ultimate power treatment and raises the 24 hp output to straight 50-hp, that’s equal to Ducati Panigale V2 or upcoming Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R.
The short movie used a hashtag “Royal Enfiled Customs”. The starring bike was MJR Roach, fitted upside-down fork suspension from the Continental GT at the front and an extended swing arm with a mono-shock at the rearmost. The exhaust has also been Nautical, and the circular headlamp is replaced with a quad-projector setup. The bike model rides on Continental TKC 80 tires.
The company was inspired by video games to build a bike like this, and it also features a manga-style future military paint job.
