According to recent rumors, faster than Snapdragon 888, the Exynos 2100 chipset will be presented a few days before the launch of the Galaxy S21.
Certainly, Exynos 2100 is of major importance for the South Korean manufacturer, organizing a launch event dedicated to launching a chipset is something new for Samsung.
This time, the purpose of the latest Exynos chipset is not limited to equipping its own devices, Samsung trying to attract other manufacturers looking for an alternative to the offer of Qualcomm, the “traditional” supplier for high-end Android phones.
Following the failure of the Exynos 990, Samsung has made great efforts to rehabilitate the brand image, performance tests seeming to confirm the positioning of the new chipset at a higher level of performance than rival Snapdragon. According to the preliminary results obtained in benchmarks, Exynos 2100 even reaches a very competitive level of performance, both in single-core and multi-core mode.
Also from the rumors we find out the configuration on the CPU side. Exynos 2100 has a high performance ARM X1 Prime core (2.91GHz), 4x Cortex-A78 at 2.81GHz and 4x Cortex-A55 @ 2.21GHz.
Sure, the list of improvements that Samsung has made to the top of the range Exynos is much longer, but for full details we will have to wait for the official launch announcement ready for January 12, two days before the launch of the Galaxy S21.
