Slightly cheaper than the top of the range Mi 11, Xiaomi Mi 10S is a significant upgrade to last year’s flagship model, in turn a very successful product.
Launched for now only for the Chinese market, the Mi 10S comes with a 90Hz AMOLED screen, an overclocked version of the SD 865 Plus chip and a 108MP camera with sensor provided by Samsung.
The screen with FHD + resolution is curved and comes protected under a Gorilla Glass 5 shield. It integrates the fingerprint sensor and accommodates a 20MP front camera, which is not hidden under the active surface.
Audio capabilities are a strong point for the Xiaomi Mi 10S, the phone coming with stereo speakers optimized by Harman Kardon specialists. Confirming the expectations of fans, SxOMark experts say that this is the best audio system they have tested so far on a smartphone.
At the back we find a quad-camera system, delimited in a 3 + 1 format. The three secondary cameras, ultrawide 8MP + 2MP macro and 2MP DoF appear separately from the main camera, based on a Samsung sensor with size 1 / 1.33 ”and 108MP resolution, respectively coupled to a lens system that integrates optical stabilization (OIS).
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 870 chipset is paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM (depending on the version), respectively 128GB or 256GB internal storage with UFS3.0 format. The configuration is supported with a 4780 mAh battery, supporting fast charging using powers up to 33W in USB-C mode and 30W in wireless mode. Bonus, users can also use the Mi 10S phone for wireless charging of other compatible devices, sending powers of up to 10W in reverse wireless charging mode.
Xiaomi Mi 10S comes with a version of Android 11 adapted to the MIUI 12 interface. Being the edition addressed to Asian markets, the phone does not come with the Google Play Services package, this version will be announced at a later date for western markets.
