A successor to the A21s model launched a year ago, the Galaxy A22 5G will be the representative of the mainstream offer of Samsung 5G phones.
Already published in unofficial renderings, Galaxy A22 follows in the footsteps of the A32 model unveiled in the first part of the year. The new model changes the rectangular arrangement of the camera to a square one, housing three optical sensors plus the LED flash.
According to the latest rumors, Galaxy A22 comes with triple-camera system with 48MP main sensor, 8MP wide camera and a 2MP DoF sensor added strictly to complete the liost with specifications. Above the screen cut after the “drop” model we will find a 13MP camera, possible with some improvements to the image quality part.
Galaxy A22 5G, a 5G solution for the masses
According to the preliminary list of specifications, the new Galaxy A model comes with a 6.4 inch screen and 1080p resolution, with few compromises on the image quality. Being LCD technology, the fingerprint sensor comes mounted on the side frame, but that should not be a problem, if Samsung has selected a recent generation component. The list of features also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack output and a generous 5000mAh battery, just like the previous model.
The processing power is given by Dimensity 700, a newly launched MediaTek chipset, made using the 7nm manufacturing process.
The new smartphone is expected in the 4G version at a price of less than $ 180, respectively $ 205 in 5G equipment. Galaxy A22 5G thus becomes the cheapest 5G phone in Samsung’s offer. The color options will be white, light green, purple and gray.
Samsung is expected to keep the calendar already used last year by launching the new A22 in mid-May 2021.
