Apex Legends Update 2.40 Brings Bug Fixes

The guys from Respawn Entertainment, the company responsible for developing Apex Legends, once again have some great plans regarding their battle royale game. Update 2.40 for Apex Legends came out on November 20, and first of all, those who were expecting to see new weapons, characters, or maps will be disappointed.

Here’s what else needs to be taken into account, courtesy of MP1ST:

INVESTIGATING:

• Legends could rotate when they get out of a Trident
• Playing at 165+ FPS may trigger stuttering during some gameplay scenes
• [Ballistic] Crash after swapping primary weapon into the sling and immediately equipping after accessing TDM/Control

IN PROGRESS:

• S18 Masters badge doesn’t have white diamond details anymore
• [Conduit] “Matulog ka na lang” quip incorrect
• [DX11] Nvidia Reflex appears greyed out
• Players can spectate others while they respawn
• Button prompts may not appear on the death/summary screen, including the report button – while buttons still work!
• Crashes referencing FS_CheckAsyncRequest when loading a map takes place
• Some players facing Detected Data Mismatch error
• Bullet tracer VFX appears offset during strafing
• [Ranked] Button mashing during rank-up animation sometimes causes a crash
