However, although the new title is distinctly original, at its essence, Red Deat Redemption 2 gathers many details from other video games developed by Rockstar. Here’s how GTA 5, Max Payne 3, Bully, and others influenced Red Dead Redemption 2.
As reported by GameSpot, allegedly, eight different Rockstar studios from all over the world implemented pieces and features of eight distinct video games in the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 to make the next installment in the popular franchise one of the most ambitious games ever released by Rockstar.
From GTA 5 and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, reportedly, Rockstar brought the physical health mechanics into the new Red Dead Redemption 2 title. However, the devs enhanced that function, and now it’s affecting character’s own personal hygiene, as revealed by GameSpot.
How GTA 5, Max Payne 3, Bully, And Others Influenced Red Dead Redemption 2
Besides implementing some of the GTA 5 and GTA: San Andreas features in the new Red Dead Redemption title, Rockstar also added Max Payne 3’s weapon handling feature which makes it possible for the gamer only to carry as many weapons as his/her character would be able to hold in hands or in the available holsters.
Finally, Red Dead Redemption 2 borrowed the NPC interaction from Bully. However, the function is improved to allow players to reply to other in-game characters in a variety of ways depending on what’s going on within the video game.
In general, we can say that the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 was influenced by GTA 5, Max Payne 3, Bully, and other Rockstar games. Furthermore, we can affirm that RDR2 is the combination of all the famous Rockstar games released over the previous 15 years.
