BlackBerry handsets were once the most popular mobile phones. Years passed and things changed, but BlackBerry handsets are still alive and kicking. Nonetheless, users have to wait a lot longer for their updates. Recently AT&T released its latest update for BlackBerry KEYone. This is update ABL183 and it brings the November security updates.
At the moment we can’t list the changes brought by this update, as the changelog has not been yet uploaded on the AT&T website. We do know for sure that this update brings the Android security updates for the past month.
The ABI087 software update
The previous update was the ABI087 update and it was released for BlackBerry Motion and KEYone. This is the last software update that shows up on the AT&T website at the moment when it comes to BlackBerry KEYone (BBB100-1).
This update weighted in at around 530 MB and its release date was November 5 2018. The changelog did not mention any specific changes, but we did know that the October security patch from Google came with the update. ABI087 also come with several bug fixes and minor enhancements.
Blackberry KEYone
Blackberry KEYone was announced back on February 2017. This handset is the first BlackBerry smartphone is Android-based while maintaining the classic BlackBerry design. This means that the device comes with its integrated hardware keyboard which is placed beneath the screen.
The smartphone has 32 GB or 64 GB of memory, a 12 MP rear camera, with f/2.0 aperture, 4K video capture, HDR, phase detection autofocus, EIS, and an 8 MP front camera, with 1080 video capture. BlackBerry KEYone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and it comes with a 3505 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery. The normal version has 3 GB of RAM while the black edition comes with 4 GB of RAM.
