The year is ending soon, so now is the perfect time to review some of the games released this year. This year, 2018, has been fantastic for the video games industry. Many titles have rolled out, but only some of them managed to get in the top. I know that’s a matter of taste and your opinion might not match mine, but here’s my short top 3 best video games of 2018.

God of War
Kratos’ latest adventure of this year combined everything, such as action, exploration, and even some excitement. God of War launched on the market in early-2018, and the public received it very well.
God of War is a game that you need to play, no matter what. It comes with complex combat, beautifully-written scenario, and an excellent in-game environment.
Fortnite
Fortnite is a phenomenon more than just a video game. Commonly dubbed as the king of “Battle Royale,” Fortnite is one of the most popular games of 2018, even though it launched in the summer of 2017.
The reason why Fortnite made it to my top 3 best video games of 2018 is that Fortnite became popular in 2018 when it also launched on Android, Nintendo Switch, and other platforms.
Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 has been the most sought-after games of the year. When it launched, Red Dead Redemption 2 surprised the fans of the franchise, despite the several bugs that gamers reported.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is about horse riding, hunting, interacting with other characters in the game, completing missions, and so on. It’s like a Western movie in which you act.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Outside the top 3 best video games of 2018, there’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the new jewel of Nintendo, launched recently on Nintendo Switch. It did not make into my short list of the best games of 2018 because I did not play it myself. However, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is an excellent title from Nintendo, and it broke so many records that it would definitely make it in the top for 2019.
