A Titanfall Battle Royale game is coming out on Monday, February 4th, according to some reports. Yes, you read it right! We are just a couple of day away from playing a new Battle Royale title, a game which would be set in the Titanfall universe.
An esports journalist, Rod Breslau, claimed that he got some tips from a few game streamers who attended a Titanfall-related even in Los Angeles. According to those folks, Apex Legends, the Titanfall Battle Royale game, would come out on Monday, February 4th, as a free-to-play title.
Jason Schreier confirmed Rod Breslau’s statement on Twitter. “This is true. Also, a great way to ensure your game gets leaked is to have a bunch of influencers play it before it’s even announced lol,” Schreier said on the before-mentioned social network.
According To Some Reports, Apex Legends, the Titanfall Battle Royale Game, Would Come Out on Monday
According to both Rod Breslau and Jason Schreier, the upcoming Titanfall Battle Royale game, dubbed as Apex Legends, would come out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows, so a mobile version is out of the question for the moment.
Also noteworthy is that Apex Legends is produced by Respawn Entertainment, the owners and devs behind the Titanfall franchise, and would be published by Electronic Arts. Besides, Nibel, a games industry insider, found a placeholder web page for the upcoming Titanfall Battle Royale game, which redirects to the official EA site.
“Apex Legends will be a class-based battle royale featuring teams of three players on servers supporting up to 60 players total. No titans will be a part of the game. Apex Legends will run on a modified version of the Source Engine, and will feature microtransactions and loot crates for cosmetic items with a very similar approach to Overwatch,” reported Polygon, citing the words of Rod Breslau.
