Since Respawn Entertainment has released Apex Legends, the fans of Battle Royale genre have been going on and on about its communication options. All you need to do is press a button and take a look at something on the map. You do not need to do anything else because your Apex teammates will know exactly how the environment is. And you need no microphone. Now, Fortnite is borrowing this ping system from Apex Legends.
There is a pirate-themed Season 8 in Fortnite, and it has just been launched by Epic Games not too much time ago. This update includes many novelties such as a new mode of transportation using volcano vents and new locations.
Epic Games also teased the players that the update hides a variety of secrets, including the pirate’s lost treasure. However, everything else that was not mentioned will be discovered by players on their own. Even more, the fans were thrilled to get the brand-new ping system feature from Apex Legends into Fortnite.
Fortnite Battle Royale Borrowed The Ping System From Apex Legends
TmarTn, a Twitter user, showcased how your teammates can see the objects of interest on the map only by pointing at them or at the areas where the items reside. In addition to that, the trailer itself shows how it works.
When teamwork is one of the most important in certain game modes, the ping system is all that players need. It is interesting how Apex Legends has just introduced this feature, and Epic Games already takes it and adapts it to its Fortnite Battle Royale title.
With that being said, Fortnite would not have gotten to this point without PUBG since Epic Games borrowed a lot from that game. However, that is not the only reason why Fortnite is so popular. It also gets new content regularly making it a highly reactive game. Also, when the audience asks for something, Epic Games does everything it can to grant the fans’ wishes.
Fortnite: Can I borrow your homework?
Apex: Yeah, just make sure to change it a little
