Chromium-Based Microsoft Edge Browser Leaked In New Screenshots

At the moment, Microsoft is developing a new Edge browser using Chromium. While a developer preview might come out within weeks, the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser, codenamed Anaheim, leaked in new screenshots.

The new leaked images represent the most reliable “preview” we have so far over the new Microsoft Edge browser that would be based on Chromium. However, from the screenshots, we can see that the user interface on this future Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser is not much different than the Chromium UI. Hopefully, Microsoft would implement some changes in this regard before going public with the release.

What’s interesting, though, is that Microsoft focused on a new Edge homepage. It seems that users would be able to change the appearance of the starting page in the future Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser and enable or disable some options, as well as change the layout or add a new image as the background. Also, a new Extension Store appears, meaning that users might be able to add the same extensions as in Chrome.
