Is There a Future for Saints Row 5?

For those of you who don’t know, the Saints Row series was, at first, a Grand Theft Auto clone, and then it became something more, that eventually got its own series. Saints Row 2 had a more serious note, and Saint Row 3 followed it to some extent.

There’s also proof: the first Saints started with characters as street gangs in Saint Row 2, and then they became the famous criminals that stood at the head of a multinational corporate empire in Saints Row 3. That was just the tip of the iceberg of what it was to come in the following game. In Saints Row 4 the leader of the Saints became the God Emperor of the Zin Empire.

Will we see a Saints Row 5?

There are many ways in which the game could happen. Saints Row 4 was followed by Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, which came with five endings. Two of those let a way for a possible follow-up.

One of those endings showed a new home world for our race, which we kind of needed because planet Earth was destroyed in Saints Row 4. This would be a hell of a story. It might also come with some issues, when it comes to adding new human characters – you know, because they’re all dead. However, we know that the Zin Empire could go back and forward in time, which means that they can find a way or another to add characters.

The other of those endings shows the Earth recreated. We’ve also seen this in Agents of Mayhem, of which people were not that excited. To make a long story short, the Saints never existed on Earth. However, one version of Pierce did exist, and he united all the street gangs from the first Saints Row. This way, he avoided the course of action that took place in Saints Row 2, 3 and 4.
