When we hear Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation) or Take-Two Interactive (GTA) it is clear that we are talking about two big monsters in the game industry.
In the last few days, we have heard all kinds of rumors about the fact that Sony will have GTA 6 exclusive on their PlayStation 5. But is it really true? According to the secret sources, Sony is negotiating with Take-Two Interactive to buy the company. This rumor has started the one that The Grand Theft Auto could be tied to the PlayStation forever. Many analysts suggest that if this is the case for real, it would be a smart gesture for Sony to take the gaming group.
On the other hand, the rumors had been denied by a tech reporter at Bloomberg. Yuji Nakamura had tweeted a message saying that Sony gave him a confirmation that the rumors aren’t true. The analysts say that if GTA becomes an exclusive game for PS5, this could go very bad for Sony and the game. So maybe Sony is more cautious than we think and it doesn’t ignore the fact that there is evidence about a new console from Google.
Speaking of new consoles and the release date, we still don’t have much information about the PS5 and the time when we will see it. According to an interview from last year given to Wall Street by John Kodera, Sony’s CEO, PS5 will not be released until 2021.
The sad news doesn’t stop here, because our loved game, GTA 6 will not see the daylight too soon this year. The confirmation came from Rockstar, who said that we won’t enjoy the game during this year.
Both Sony and Take-Two are taking their time with the release of the products, so we’re looking forward to 2020, 2021.
