Sea of Thieves To Receive a Massive Update This Month

Sea of Thieves was one of the most anticipated video games of 2018, but the title was met with mixed reviews from both critics and players alike.

The game begins with the player waking up on one of the beautiful islands. Players can work in teams of up to four members as they embark on a ship located in a nearby dock. It is clear from the start that it was built with multiplayer mayhem in mind, but lonely captains will enjoy calm waters (until rival ships will appear and start to attack your ship).

One of the main complaints came from the fact that the PvE experience is focused on variations of the classic fetch quest. They may be interesting for a few times, but they are prone to become annoying at some point. Others claim that the selection of enemies is quite weak and there is little to no consequence if you die.

Rare, the developer of the game worked hard on improving the gameplay experience and the studio has recently announced a significant patch as the 1st anniversary of the game. A new trailer showcases a beefy campaign called Shores of Gold, and it looks quite good as it promises a new story, engaging combat and challenging puzzles.

The players will have to track down the Shroudbreaker, a tool which can be used to uncover a mysterious island which is hidden from the rest of the world. They are not alone on the quest as ships filled skeleton crews are heading towards the same destination, in the hope that they will find treasures and fame.

The patch will also add an Arena Mode, new ship damage types and fishing harpoons. The new content will bring a breath of fresh to the game and it may also convince some player to return to the title. The update will be released on April 30, and more content will be added in the future.
