If you make any modifications to your membership, “such as upgrades, downgrades, or buying additional time,” you will be required to pay the higher rate. The annual cost of the lowest tier will increase from $60 to $80, and this increase will take effect immediately.

Beginning in one month, Sony will charge a higher monthly fee for its PlayStation Plus membership. The price of the Essential plan for the service will go from $60 per year to $80 per year, while the Extra plan will go from $100 per year to $135 per year. The Premium PlayStation Plus subscription is going to set us back an estimated $160 per year. The new price structure will take effect as of September 6th, which means the next week.
