2023, the year that just ended a few days ago, has been a pretty good year when it comes to the gaming scene. We had some pretty interesting titles released, and gamers of all the major platforms were generally pleased. However, it’s time to dive into detail a bit, as there might have been a few games that you didn’t hear about.
As for the current year, we can expect some exciting games to come out, such as Tekken 8, Star Wars Outlaws, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and many more. But let’s remind ourselves of what 2023 had in store for the world:
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
“The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” is the latest installment in the iconic Zelda franchise, and it came out back in May as an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch consoles. The new game already received some resounding rewards, such as The Game Award for Best Action/Adventure and The Game Award for Most Anticipated Game.
Zelda games are like wine. The more you play them, the better they get over time. It’s also the case for Tears of the Kingdom.
Diablo IV
Blizzard Entertainment developed and published Diablo IV, a game that came out back in June for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Windows PC. This is another continuation of an iconic series for the gaming world, and it allows the player to create a character from one of five playable classes: Druid, Necromancer, Barbarian, Rogue, or Sorcerer. He can then use their skills to complete various quests through combat.
Diablo IV has received some criticism in 2023 from voices claiming that the game has some pretty harsh prices for its in-game purchases, but ultimately, it’s up to each and every fan of the series to give the game a try if they want to!
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is an action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony for the PlayStation 5 console.
Spider-Man is a character that requires no more presentation, and he is portrayed pretty well and compelling in this game as well where you get to do a lot of fun stuff while you try to take down the biggest threats!
If you are used to some of the old Spider-Man games for retro consoles, surely you won’t be disappointed by what Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has to offer, as this game adds some highly impressive graphics to the overall mix.
Baldur’s Gate 3
Larian Studios, a company from Belgium, is responsible for developing and publishing Baldur’s Gate 3, which is a highly immersive RPG and one of the best games of the year that just passed. Looking at the trailer, you may be amazed by the incredible graphics of this game, and you perhaps think that your PC is not good enough to run it. You may be right, but there’s no use to panic, as Baldur’s Gate 3 also works for other platforms as well!
Baldur’s Gate 3, the third main installment of the Baldur’s Gate series, is available for Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and macOS.
Street Fighter 6
The legendary Street Fighter series has been back in business in 2023 with a brand new game, the sixth main installment of the franchise. Street Fighter 6 can certainly make a lot of gamers happy, especially if they’re into the fighting games frenzy. This game can surely ensure numerous hours of fun!
Street Fighter 6 has been developed and published by Capcom, and it can be playable for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Arcade game, and Windows PC.
