Clash of Clans Generated $41 Million in September 2018

Even though Clash of Clans launched more than 5 years ago, the game is still very popular on both iOS and Android platforms. Now, a new report on it revealed that Clash of Clans generated for Supercell, its developers, more than $41 million in September 2018.

Clash of Clans for iOS launched on August 2nd, 2012, on App Store, while the Android version rolled out on September 30th, 2013, on Google Play, but only in some countries. Its international launch on Android takes place on October 7th, 2013.

Developed by Supercell, Clash of Clans is a free-to-play strategy video game with dynamic combats. However, while it’s costing you nothing to download the game, Clash of Clans contains some optional micropayments that provide you with some useful in-game items. Thus, if you want to evolve faster in the game’s universe, you might have to invest some money in achieving that.

The primary goal of the game is to build your own village, train troops, and cast spells to attack other players online. You can also create clans between different users to cooperate and attack other crews. Thus, your goal in Clash of Clans is to make your clan an indestructible fortress.

Following the success of this product, Supercell launched another video game based on its universe, the Clash Royale.

Cash of Clans generated about $41 million in revenues in September 2018

Although the competition is no more fierce than ever with Fortnite and PUBG games gaining in popularity fast, Clash of Clans resists its rivals and remains one of the most appreciated and played games worldwide.

According to a new report released by games industry analyst Sensor Tower, Clash of Clans, the free-to-play strategy game would have generated more than $41 million in September 2018, on both iOS and Android. These figures would represent an increase of 5.2% compared to the same period of 2017, proving that Supercell’s title remains a hit.

Also, in September, 5.4 million people downloaded the game on iOS and Android, Clash of Clans now reaching more than 600 million installations and over $6 billion in revenue.
