Nintendo Switch Pro and Switch Lite to Come Out in 2019, According to a Gaming Analyst

This year, in March, Nintendo Switch will celebrate two years since it has first emerged on the market. As there is an increasingly higher demand for a better gaming experience, Nintendo Switch needs to adapt to the times and improve itself. According to Dr. Sekan Toto, a gaming analyst, two new versions of the console, Nintendo Switch Pro and Switch Lite, might come out in 2019. On the other hand, Michael Pachter believes Nintendo will launch a revised variant of the Switch with built-in Joy Cons.

Of course, nobody, besides the folks from Nintendo, knows for sure what is the Japanese entertainment company holding in the bag for us in 2019, but the two gaming analysts made some interesting predictions for the Nintendo Switch fans. According to Dr. Serkan Toto, CEO of Kantan Games, Nintendo would release a Nintendo Switch Pro version and a Switch Lite one in 2019.

On the other hand, Michael Pachter, an analyst at Wedbush Securities, believes that the Japanese company would launch a revision of the current Nintendo Switch with Joy Cons built into the body.

Nintendo Switch Pro and Switch Lite to Come Out in 2019

Both Serkan Toto and Michael Pachter had an interview on GamesIndustry where they shared their predictions regarding Nintendo’s plans for 2019. While Toto expects Switch Pro and Switch Lite to roll out in 2019, Pachter thinks that Nintendo will launch a revised variant of the current console.

“While the 2019 Switch Pro has been already reported to be in development by the Wall Street Journal, I also think Nintendo will offer a ‘Switch Lite (or just keep the current version at a lower price) to cover the lower end of the spectrum and offset sinking 3DS sales,” said Serkan Toto.

On the other hand, Michael Pachter said that Nintendo would release an entirely hand-held variant of Nintendo Switch. “I expect the device to have the same screen but with the Joy Cons built into the body and no docking station. Since it can’t ‘switch’ from handheld to console, it’s hard to guess what they will call it, but let’s assume Game Boy; kidding,” Pachter said.
