Intel Presented Its New Ice Lake Processors During CES 2019

These days, the CES 2019 is being held, as many of you already know, which is the most significant technology fair in the world. During CES, the leading tech companies take the opportunity to present their next products that will reach the market during the year. At CES 2019, Intel has introduced its new Ice Lake processors made with 10-nm technology.

These Ice Lake processors bring a lot of improvements and are scheduled to roll out later this year, officially. Among the improvements, the new processors offer native support at SoC level for Thunderbolt 3, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), integrated graphics of 11th Generation with a substantial enhancement in performance and machine learning capabilities.

With this technology, Intel promises up to 25 hours of autonomy in the portable versions a TDP of 15W with four cores and eight threads.

Also, on the first day of the event, Intel presented its new ninth generation of Intel processors.

There are six new Intel processors:

  • Intel Core i3-9350KF: 4 cores and four threads with frequencies ranging from 4 GHz to 4.6 GHz;
  • Intel Core i5-9400: 6 cores and six threads with frequencies ranging from 2.9 GHz to 4.1 GHz. In this model, we do have integrated graphics, the Intel YHD Graphics 630;
  • Intel Core i5-9400F: 6 cores and six threads with frequencies ranging from 2.9 GHz to 4.1 GHz;
  • Intel Core i5-9600KF: 6 cores and six threads with frequencies ranging from 3.7 GHz to 4.1 GHz;
  • Intel Core i7-9700KF: 8 cores and eight threads with frequencies ranging from 3.6 GHz to 4.9 GHz;
  • Intel Core i9-9900KF: 8 cores and 16 threads with frequencies ranging from 3.6 GHz to 5 GHz;

We hope that these processors have a lower market price than those that are already available with integrated graphics. Additionally, it would be exciting to see what AMD will do with its upcoming Ryzen 3000 to compete with Intel.
