Super Smash Bros Ultimate Would Receive “Piranha Plant” Around February

According to the most recent update in the Nintendo news feed, the release date of the “Piranha Plant” in Super Smash Bros Ultimate has narrowed. As the report stated, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would receive “Piranha Plant” around February.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate rolled out on December 7th, 2018, for Nintendo Switch consoles, and it has become one of the most popular video games of the end of the last year and the beginning of 2019. Undoubtedly, Super Smash Bros Ultimate would keep its ascending trend throughout this year, in particular, thanks to the many DLCs and updates Nintendo plans to release for the game.

The most recent news report published by Nintendo also pointed out that players must claim their Gold Points before the end of January to receive the “Piranha Plant” fighter for free. According to the blog post, “Piranha Plant” would come in Super Smash Bros Ultimate around February.

“Piranha Plant,” the famous Super Mario enemy, would finally come in Super Smash Bros Ultimate as a fighter somewhen around February this year, says a news report issued by Nintendo. The exact date, however, remains to be determined.

In case you haven’t already claimed “Piranha Plant,” once you’ve bought a copy of Super Smash Bros Ultimate from eShop, the redeem code would be emailed to you within 72 hours. Also, you can claim your Gold Points manually by using a physical copy of the popular video game. If you miss these opportunities to claim “Piranha Plant,” then you would be able to buy the new fighter as a standalone purchase once the character gets in the game.

“The Piranha Plant DLC will be available as a standalone purchase in 2019 (exact date TBD). It is not included in the Fighters Pass [which would include five Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC once they roll out],” stated Nintendo.
