Anthem Demo Was More Successful Than BioWare and EA Expected

Anthem demo rolled out throughout the past weekend, and it has been more successful than both BioWare (the games studio behind Anthem) and EA (Electronic Arts – the game’s publisher). This one was the second demo of the upcoming Anthem, an epic sci-fi video game, and came about one month after the less successful demo of January. However, this new Anthem demo totaled 40 million hours spent in-game so far.

Anthem Demo Was More Successful Than BioWare and EA Expected

“I’m thrilled to share that our public demo weekend exceeded our expectations. Operationally, things were super smooth – our war rooms were tranquil this weekend, which is exactly how we like them,” reported BioWare, excited by the success of the recent Anthem demo.

“Most importantly, your response was again overwhelmingly positive. We had more than 40M hours of play in the game across our two demo weekends. That’s incredible! We hope you all enjoyed the small taste of what’s to come with the full game. As developers, we remain humbled by your positive response to what we’ve built. Thank you so much for your support,” BioWare continued.

BioWare also shared some images of very creative Javelin outfits, personalized by some of the Anthem demo’s many players, such as the one you can see below:

Anthem Release Date

“Our focus now shifts 100% to launch and beyond. Our development team is hard at work on finalizing our launch builds and beginning our countdown preparations. As I’ve mentioned previously, the launch version of the game has a long list of updates and improvements that were not in the demo builds. And, of course, the launch will be the first time our community has access to the full game with all content,” BioWare added.

Anthem release date is scheduled for February 22nd, 2019, when the epic sci-fi video game would come out for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
