Android Pie: Night Mode and Gestures and How to Make the Most out of Them

Samsung’s latest phones came up the OneUI update, so, with many new features. However, we know some secrets that can make things even better than they are right now. We’re here to tell you all we know about these features.

Night mode

You can first make the most out of Themes. However, if you’re not pleased with that, you can turn on the night mode. This one will switch all of your apps and the system menus to a darker theme, that is going to go easy on your eyes at night. First of all, you have to open the Settings app. Then tap display, then scroll till you get to Night mode. It’s true, it’s not all-AMOLED Black, and some themes are customized, but it has access to more apps and it’s more consistent for your device. The night mode cannot be turned on yet technically. However, it’s easy to go on and off in the Settings app, and you can even add it to the Quick Settings panel in your notifications. All you need to do is swipe down from the top of your screen to get to the notification shade. Then, you need to swipe down from the top, to open the quick settings panel. Then you need to tap the three-dot menu button. You need to tap the button order, and drag and then drop the night mode from the top to the Quick Settings layout. Then you need to tap on Done.

Gestures

Android Pie has started to improve the navigation system in order to improve the traditional one, and it’s quite easy to adapt to it. The recent apps screen is even more useful and it has a 5-app dock placed at the bottom of the screen. You need to go to Settings, and scroll down to Advanced features, then tap on Motions and gestures.
