iOS 13 Features – Dark Mode, Better Optimization For iPad, and Much More

Apple is currently working on the next version of its popular operating system, iOS 13, which should make an appearance during the Worldwide Developers Conference scheduled to start on June 3. A few reliable sources shared some valuable information, with some of the upcoming features being mentioned below.

What we know so far about iOS 13 features

A dark mode

One of the most anticipated features is a system-wide dark mode, rumored to arrive on iPhones and iPads. Users will have the option to enable the mode from the Settings menu, and it is likely that a high contrast version will be present.

iOS 13 to have improved multitasking for iPad

iPad users will be happy to learn that Apple plans to introduce a revamped multitasking experience. Apps will have the option of running on multiple windows, and each window will include a sheet which is attached to the screen. They can be detached with a simple gesture, morphing into handy cards that can be moved according to your wishes. Several cards can be stacked on each other, and they can be closed by swiping them towards the edge of the screen.

Correct mistakes with an undo system

Many iOS users complain about the fact that the system doesn’t feature a standard undo system, forcing them to shake the device instead. This issue will be addressed in iOS 13 as users will be able to use a new three-finger gesture to correct and make changes instantly. A handy tutorial will guide them at first, and it is likely that third-party developers could integrate the gesture by using a public API.

Optimized Safari browsing

Safari is a reliable browser, but there are a few changes that could improve the experience. One of them is the ability to automatically request the desktop version of a site when your iPad is connected to a larger screen. In most cases, the current version of the browser will load the iPhone version, a quite annoying occurrence.

It is likely that more features of iOS 13 will be announced as the launch date approaches.
