If you are enrolled in the beta program of Google’s Android operating system, then we have some great news to share with you. The Android parent has just released a brand-new beta update for Google Play Services. For the uninitiated, Google Play Services is the most important component in the Android parent because it handles high priority tasks such as providing core functionality to Google apps and mobile games that are downloaded from the Google Play Store. Not just that, but Google Play Services is also responsible for providing users with access to all the latest privacy settings.
Nonetheless, the new update for Google Play Services sports the 18.4.52 version number and it’s rolling out via OTA (over the air) channels right now. This is why we are advising all Android fans who are enrolled in the beta program to keep their smartphones connected to a stable Wi-Fi network so that they will make sure to be the first ones to access the software tweaks that the new update brings.
Google Play Services 18.4.52 Update
The question that all Android fans must be asking right now is what’s new? Since Google Play Services is a background app, then no one should be surprised to find out that the software improvement that the new update is bringing are under the hood software tweaks.
The reason why these tweaks are called under the hood is because even though Android fans might not be able to see them like they would see a new feature or design change to the User Interface, they are certainly going to feel these tweaks because they are improving the overall performances of Android powered smartphones.
The last thing that we want to mention about the new update for Google Play Services is that it can also be manually downloaded and installed by eager Android fans. The trick to making this possible is to first enable the “Unknown Sources” option on the target smartphone.
