‘World of Horror’ is On Its Way to PC and Consoles as a Full Version

The slumbering ancient deities stir, their resurgence infiltrating a world teetering on the brink of lunacy. Within the confines of hospitals, tranquil dwellings, forsaken classrooms, and shadowy woodlands, peculiar apparitions and inexplicable occurrences challenge the sanity of Shiokawa’s inhabitants in Japan. Are these manifestations an anarchic retribution or the intricate workings of entities surpassing human comprehension?

Welcome to World of Horror, where the impending demise of civilization looms ominously, demanding a confrontation with the malevolence that presides over the forthcoming apocalypse. We’re talking about a horror RPG where you can embark on a harrowing journey through an infernal and roguelite realm.

‘World of Horror’ launches on October 19

Here’s a quote provided by Jonas Ek via TGG:

The UK/Singapore-based indie games publisher Ysbryd Games and Wroclaw-based (Poland) indie games developer panstasz, today announced with great thrill and happiness that the full version (v1.0) of their cosmic horror retro RPG “World of horror”, is coming to PC (via Steam, GOG, and itch.io) and consoles (PS5, PS4, and the Nintendo Switch) on October 19th, 2023 (as announced today at the Guerrilla Collective 2023 Showcase).

However, it needs to be said that some people might be bothered by the content that exists in World of Horror. There are unnerving landscapes in the game, where chilling and gruesome depictions of implied violence, gore, and macabre unfold in a distinctive 2D pixel art aesthetic. Although the visuals may seem stylized, they possess the capacity to evoke a realistic and potentially unsettling response in players who are sensitive to such content. It is, therefore crucial for players to get used to personal discretion. Furthermore, it should be noted that casual depictions of cigarette usage are present within the game as well.

Surely anyone has a PC that’s powerful enough to run World of Horror. The game will even work on Windows 7, if, by some chance, you still use that operating system.
