Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Could Get a Remake Soon; What Are the Chances?

Ubisoft could surprise everyone with quite the development, one bringing Assassin’s Creed onto the big screen. The rumor mill has created quite a stir as of late, and now it is spreading details regarding a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Black Flag is a pirate fantasy set in the 18th century, and it is widely regarded as one of the games in the series that fans have the fondest memories of playing. But what are the odds?!

Well, as long as we won’t get official details from Ubisoft, let’s inspect what some sources have to say about Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag’s revival.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Remake: What to Expect?

Two different sources have stated that the remastering of the cross-gen PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game that was released in 2013 is still in its infancy and will not be finished for at least a few years. Ubisoft Singapore, one of the studios that have spearheaded development on the Assassin’s Creed franchise’s growing water technology, will play a significant role in assisting with the modernization of the Caribbean-based sailing game. That is just mind-blowing!

At this moment, it is not yet apparent how much of the core gameplay and systems will expand to suit the more extensive open-world RPG pattern of previous high-budget Assassin’s Creed games such as Odyssey and Valhalla. However, it is expected that a significant portion of the gameplay and systems will follow that rule. So, until further details (especially official ones from Ubisoft), it’s better to take everything with a grain of salt.

However, there is a great deal of potential for transforming a new edition of the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S into something more significant than a straightforward “next-gen” remake. That has the potential to become quite the thing, doesn’t it?!

Skull & Bones, the next blockbuster live-service pirate game that was initially revealed by Ubisoft back in 2017, has not yet been released to the public. The debut was planned to take place in the fall of 2017, but it was postponed not once but twice, and there is still no new release date.
