Red Dead Redemption Could Get a PC Version After All, But There’s a Catch

Rumors about a remaster, remake, or port of the classic open-world western Red Dead Redemption are now stirring quite the buzz among fans! Well, it would be so cool to finally see the original RDR on PCs, right?! However, Rockstar has not yet discussed whether or not Red Dead Redemption will ultimately be released on PCs after all of these years.

Let’s investigate the likelihood of seeing Red Dead Redemption on PCs, shall we?

Red Dead Redemption Could Finally Find its Way to PCs

Despite the fact that practically every major Rockstar game has been ported to PC, including Red Dead Redemption 2, the first Red Dead game, which starred John Martson, has never been ported to any other platform than the consoles on which it was first launched. On the other hand, based on recent reports and speculations, it would appear like Red Dead Redemption may at long last be freed from the legacy consoles it has been bound to for more than a decade.

What are the possibilities?!

The Game Rating and Administration Committee of South Korea (GRAC) published a new rating for Red Dead Redemption on June 15, as discovered by Gematsu. Since the GRAC has previously evaluated the earlier iterations of the game, including the Undead Nightmare DLC release, it would indicate that this is a new product that has only recently been certified. According to the page that rates games, Take-Two Interactive, which is also the parent company of Rockstar Games, was the firm that submitted the game.

This Korean video game content rating is not a clear confirmation that Red Dead Redemption is receiving a remake or remaster or even getting transferred to other platforms; nevertheless, in the past, ratings very similar to this one have shown up on the GRAC’s site before official announcements. This might indicate that Red Dead Redemption will be getting a remake or remaster in the near future.

So, until Rockstar Games finally release some details, it is still uncertain whether there will be a newly remastered version. On the other hand, previous Korean ratings leaks suggest that we probably won’t have to wait too long to find out the details of whatever this new RDR thing may be.
