Top Xbox Series X Games Coming in 2024: Find Out the Most Expected Titles!

Who doesn’t love to enjoy a nice gaming session after a long day at work? Grabbing your console and running your favorite games at least from time to time is a ‘must’ if you’re one of the numerous folks out there who are passionate about video games.

While last time we spoke about some of the most important games that will come out in 2024 for PlayStation 5 consoles, it’s now time for Microsoft’s top-end console to receive some love from us.

There are a lot of voices out there who claim that the Xbox Series X is nowhere below the PlayStation 5 console when it comes to capabilities, so who are we to contradict them? 2024 will definitely be an important year for gaming, and since it’s just a month away from starting, let’s see some of the most exciting future games that will be launched for Xbox Series X/S in the new year:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl (Q1 2024)

The second game of the STALKER series is supposed to come out during the first months of 2024, and it will run only on Xbox Series X consoles and Windows PCs that are powerful enough. This game puts the player in an apocalyptic world where he needs to face all sorts of gruesome creatures that came to life as a result of the deadly radiation from the famous Chornobyl accident that took place in 1986 in Ukraine. The dev team, known as GSC Game World, is from the same country, which will surely generate even more interest for this highly-awaited title.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (Jan. 25, 2024)

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studi, the dev team, collaborate with Sega, in order to bring this game to ‘life.’ At first glance, it seems that future players will be dealing with an open world that’s incredibly massive. In fact, an official description of the game even claims that this upcoming game represents “an RPG adventure so big it spans the Pacific.” While it’s hard to believe that’s true, what’s for sure is that indeed Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be an interesting game, as the trailer confirms. This game will also work for Xbox Series X, and you can play it even on the PC if your hardware is powerful enough.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth costs a minimum of $69.99 on Steam, while its Ultimate Edition demands $109.99 through the same platform.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (Jan. 2, 2024)

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be a game that’s teeming with action, and there’s no wonder why a lot of people wait to play it. Kill the Justice League represents the fifth main installment and also a spinoff of the famous Batman: Arkham series, which means that if you’re a fan of Batman games, you will probably love this 2024 title. The action in the upcoming game takes place five years after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight. We’re also talking about the first game not to feature Batman as the main protagonist, though the unmistakable character still appears, posthumously voiced by none other than the famous Kevin Conroy. For those unaware, Conroy became famous for voicing DC Comics superhero Batman in various animated media, starting with Batman: The Animated Series that came out in 1992.

Tekken 8 (Jan. 25)

Tekken is one of the most long-lasting video game series that focuses on one-on-one battles. There’s probably a Tekken game for play on every console and gaming platform out there, but Tekken 8 takes it to a whole new level. The graphics seem to be the best of all Tekken games this time, while the action never stops. There will be lots of characters to choose from in Tekken 8, a game that will leave you craving for more each time you play it.

Tekken 8 launches on Jan. 25, and it will be available for multiple platforms, including Xbox Series X.

EA FC 25 (Sept. 2024)

This year’s EA FC 24 has been the first continuation of the FIFA series that doesn’t have the ‘FIFA’ mark in the title. EA SPORTS will follow that path and keep releasing a brand new football simulation game every year, although God knows why they don’t release an update to modify the team rosters instead. EA FC 25 is supposed to come out around September, and as always, we’re expecting even more exciting gameplay tweaks from EA SPORTS. On the other hand, EA SPORTS FC 24 has been received generally well by the public. However, only time will tell how good or bad the next game will be, but what’s almost certain is that it will definitely be running on Xbox Series X/S consoles, among other platforms.

GTA 6 (maybe 2024 or beyond)

We should finally get an official GTA 6 trailer in early December, which means that we will also find out a release date. While the long-awaited game has been under production for a while, it’s almost certain that it will be compatible with both the top-end consoles from Sony and Microsoft, meaning PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, respectively.

Saying that GTA 6 will come out in 2024 is a bit unrealistic, but there is hope. The odds are great that the long-awaited successor to GTA 5 will launch in 2025 or 2026. Only time will tell for sure, but the good news is that the game is on its way.

Which one of these games do you want to play on the Xbox Series X and why? Feel free to comment!
