When we speak about Bruce Willis, some of the first movies that come to mind are the Die Hard action series and the Armageddon sci-fi movie from 1998. Bruce Willis is widely regarded as one of the most talented actors in such kinds of movies where he has had main roles. The German-born American actor will remain forever in the hearts of the fans for his “Yippee Ki Yay” moments in Die Hard, where he plays the unforgettable role of John McClane, a cop who’s always in the wrong place.

Bruce Willis retired from his acting career in 2022 because of some mental health problems, as he has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia.

Jackson, two hitmen who are struggling between their mob lives and the belief in divine justice. On the other hand, Bruce Willis plays the role of Butch Coolidge, a boxer who receives a bribe to lose a fight on purpose. Although Willis is clearly not in the main role, he still has an unforgettable performance in this movie.

Sin City (2005)

In this movie that’s almost two decades old, Bruce Willis plays the role of John Hartigan, a detective. Sin City presents four tales of crime straight from the popular comics of Frank Miller. The storyline focuses on a muscular brute looking for the one responsible for murdering Goldie, a guy who had enough of the corrupt law enforcement of Sin City and decided to take the law into his own hands.

The Player (1992):

Bruce Willis had a brief appearance in this movie, although we can all agree that it was pretty memorable. This movie presents the story of a Hollywood studio executive who receives death threats from a writer whose script he rejected. Of course, nobody knows exactly the identity of the guy responsible for the threats, which makes the movie even more exciting to watch.

The Bonfire of the Vanities (1990)

“The Bonfire of the Vanities” is a satirical comedy-drama adapted from the novel by Tom Wolfe. Bruce Willis had a supportive role in this movie, and he did quite an amazing job.

Sherman McCoy, played by Tom Hanks, is the financial “Master of the Universe,” and he sees his life unravel when Maria Ruskin, his mistress, hits a Black guy with his car. Peter Fallow, played by Bruce Willis, enflames public opinion with a series of distorted tabloid articles on the accident. It became just a matter of time until the case was seized upon by opportunists such as mayoral candidate D.A. Abe Weiss and Reverend Bacon.

Nobody’s Fool (1994)

“Nobody’s Fool” from 1994 is a comedy-drama movie in which Bruce Willis had a supporting role, playing alongside Paul Newman, another legend in cinema history.
