GTA is just another one of the most popular and influential game series of all time. It’s also the series that has marked the beginning of the gamer journey for many of us. Even though all GTA games have a compelling story to offer, all of them have at their core the concept of doing illegal activities in those games, like stealing cars, killing, harassing, and a lot more. Sleeping Dogs
Sleeping Dogs is a 2012 open-world game that transports you to the bustling streets of Hong Kong. Apart from its open-world environment, this game also offers a nice mix of martial arts. This game immerses players in the rugged landscapes of the American frontier, where they have to engage in gunfights, explore vast wilderness areas, and embark on an amazing journey by stepping into the shoes of Arthur Morgan, who’s a notorious outlaw.
Mafia
The Mafia series is a series of gangster games that puts you in the shoes of a mobster. These games offer a blend of narrative-driven storytelling and open-world gameplay.
Mafia II is by far the best game of the series, as it offers a generous mix of captivating storytelling, amazing gameplay, and great graphics for its time. It’s a game that came out in 2010.
Saints Row
If you want non-stop entertainment and irrelevant humor in your games, it means that you should look no further than Saints Row. This series offers a wild and wacky take on the open-world genre, allowing the player to lead his own street gang, engage in outrageous stunts, and cause a lot of mayhem in the fictional city of Stilwater.
Watch Dogs
If you play the Watch Dogs series, you will dive into the world of hacking and cyber warfare. These games are set in modern-day times, such as in San Francisco and Chicago, and they put players in the shoes of skilled hackers who use their tech skills to manipulate the world, from controlling traffic lights to infiltrating high-security facilities.
Assassin’s Creed
Even though the Assassin’s Creed series doesn’t offer an open-world crime scene such as GTA, the former offers a richly detailed historical sandbox for the players to have fun and explore. Each installment of the Assassin’s Creed transports players into a different time period, such as ancient Egypt, Viking-age England, or Renaissance Italy.
