We’ve heard that Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 is about to receive Android 9.0 Pie in the February of 2019. On Tuesday, the company has announced the new upgrade, when they have announced the launch of Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 and the ZenFone Max M2 in New Delhi. This update is set to bring the Android Pie features just as a new security patch.
The device will hit the market in January 2019
In November, the company made a statement in which they said that they’d come with the Android Pie update for ZenFone 5Z in January 2019. Both of the devices offered in India earlier in 2018, came with Android Oreo versions. The first one, ZenFone Max Pro M1 has Android 8.1 Oreo, while ZenFone 5Z comes with Android 8.0 Oreo.
The company will deliver the update in time
While they announced the Android 9.0 Pie update, Asus India Head Mobile Business, named Dinesh Sharma, said that they had kept their promises, and will deliver the Pie update in time. However, they’re still working on it. Sharma also talked about the Android Pie update to the ZenFone 5Z. He also said that the ZenFone Max Pro M2 and the ZenFone Max M2 would get the update to Android Pie in January.
They added a 6GB RAM variant
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 was first released in April. They have also expanded the whole thing, by adding a 6GB RAM variant, together with 3GB and 4 GB RAM options. These two models have receives electronic image stabilization video support back in October, just so that it could offer an experience similar to the6GB RAM variant.
