The majority of Fortnite players were shocked to see that they couldn’t connect to their accounts in the game. It seems that Fortnite was down due to a major server outage. Fortunately, Epic Games was quick to identify the issues and fix them.
Fortnite Was Down
Fortnite is the most popular game of the moment with millions of players around the world fighting each other in the Battle Royale game. The game also features a co-op mode, Save The World, in which players can team up to fight against enemies and save humanity from death.
“We’re aware that players are experiencing issues when attempting to use Epic Games services. We’re currently working on a resolution and will keep you updated. We have identified an issue with logins, and some players may have trouble connecting to Epic Games services,” Epic Games stated on Twitter and the Fortnite’s Status Page. “We will keep you updated as we work towards a resolution,” the company promised.
Epic Games Fixed The Server Issues That Caused Fortnite To Become Inaccessible
And indeed they did so and announced that they identified the issues and fixed them. However, on the downside, this is not the first time when Fortnite was down. In the past, the game was inaccessible by players for even more extended periods than in this recent case.
“Further details on Epic Games’ status page said it had identified an issue with logins and as of 01:53 UTC was still working on a fix. While the game, log in, and store are experiencing major outages, Fortnite’s website, forums, and messaging services are still operational,” reported TechCrunch.
“We have recovered. We will continue to monitor the situation to catch any further problems,” reported Epic Games on the official Fortnite Twitter page.
