Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo’s Mario Kart Mobile Game, Delayed Until Summer

I guess we’re all eager to play the first Nintendo’s Mario Kart mobile game, the so-called Mario Kart Tour. Unfortunately, Nintendo delayed the launch of Mario Kart Tour, initially announced for Mach this year, until summer. But the Japanese company has some excellent reason behind its decision.

“The application for smartphones ‘Mario Kart Tour’ will be scheduled to be distributed in the summer of 2019 in order to improve the quality of the application and expand the content of the service after delivery,” stated Nintendo Japan on Twitter.

“As we endeavor to develop future planned applications, we will also focus on continued service operations for applications that have already been released so that consumers can enjoy playing them for a long time,” added Nintendo in a statement, cited by IGN. That’s, undoubtedly, bad news for us, the Nintendo fans who are waiting to play Mario Kart mobile game.

Nintendo Delayed “Mario Kart Tour,” Its First “Mario Kart Mobile Game,” Until Summer

But, overall, the news that Nintendo delayed Mario Kart Tour until summer might not be bad news. If we chill down a little bit and think about it, Nintendo has never rushed it to release shallow games, full of errors and glitches. Accordingly, the Japanese entertainment company might have decided to postpone its first Mario Kart mobile game due to some serious reasons.

Remember what Mario and Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto said: “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.” That means that Nintendo spotted some issues in Mario Kart Tour, so it delayed its launch to work on those bugs. We have many examples of video games launched before the devs fixed all the issues. The most recent case would be Fallout 76, Bethesda’s most tremendous mistake in years, which rolled out in November 2018, with a lot of bugs and gameplay issues, disappointing the fans.

In the end, Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo’s Mario Kart mobile game, scheduled to launch in March, has been delayed until the summer, but that might not be bad news, after all.
