Gboard – The Google Keyboard Beta Update Introduces Support for Cursive Handwritting

There are many advantages that using an Android powered smartphone brings and the most important one has to be getting access to all the native Android apps that have been specially designed to make the lives of Android fans easier. Google has created this app with a sole purpose in mind and that is to make it easier and faster for Android fans whenever they want to write an email, text or any kind of other documents.

Today we are talking about Gboard because Google has just released a new update for it. The new update sports the beta version number and it’s being rolled out via OTA (over the air) channels right now.

Since the update is available in the form of Beta, the only Gboard users who can download it right now are those who are enrolled in the beta program. Fortunately, Google is allowing everyone who uses an Android-powered smartphone to join the beta program and access all the latest updates.

What’s New?

The new update comes with a handful of really useful features. The first one is introducing support for handwriting in cursive and printed letters for more than 200 languages! This feature is surely going to prove to be quite useful.

The second feature introduced by the new update is making it possible for Gboard users to share their language settings with other users so that the setup process becomes easier. Last but not least, the new update comes with a cool indicator for emoji gender and skin tone variants feature.

Before we sign off, we also want to note that the new update can be downloaded in the form of APK. This is a special type of update format and the trick to downloading it is that Gboard users are required to do it manually.
