“Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO:” Top 5 Things We Need to See in the Game

Dragon Ball fans from all across the world are eager to find out for sure what Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO has in store for them, meaning the successor of the legendary Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 game that came out 17 years ago. Better late than never, right?

Goku and the gang will once again join forces against powerful foes in the upcoming game that will become available soon. There’s no release date mentioned yet, but it’s reasonable to say that the game will come out in a few months in the worst-case scenario. Dragon Ball surely has a lot to offer in video games, contrary to what some people believe, considering that both the anime and manga versions of Dragon Ball Super have brought a lot of new characters, transformations, and scenarios.

While we already have some information about what we can expect from the continuation of the legendary Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 game, it’s time to mention a few aspects that we just need to see, so let’s hope that the guys from Spike will take notice:

Alternative timelines

Most Dragon Ball fans know about the Saiyan Saga from Dragon Ball Z, the Goku Black Arc from Dragon Ball Super, or the Omega Shenron Saga from Dragon Ball GT. We really don’t need other iterations of them in a video game, as we’ve seen them plenty of times in video games already. Therefore, the guys from Spike should come up with new parallel timelines and think about some truly wacky and unique scenarios that could have happened in the anime but never did. For instance, they should try to make Vegeta the hero of an arc for once, make Goku or Piccolo lose their powers, and so on. The possibilities are endless.

How about more “what if” scenarios, similar to how it happened in Budokai Tenkaichi 3? How about a scenario in which Vegeta became Super Saiyan on Namek while he was fighting Frieza, and Goku got killed by Captain Gyniu? That would definitely be interesting!

How about a scenario in which Goku never got hit on the head when he was a baby and, therefore, maintained his initial course of being a true villain? For those unaware, the Saiyans sent Goku to Earth when he was a baby to exterminate all the life forms from it, but instead, Goku managed to turn into a good and loving person. In Budokai 4, Goku can be a villain in a parallel timeline, and the good version of Goku might have to stop his evil self from trying to destroy the world. How amazing that would be!

More characters resurrected

Wouldn’t it be great for the story mode of the upcoming Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO game to feature more characters resurrected with the dragon balls? For instance, how about we see Raditz once again, Bardock, or King Vegeta? Those characters have been dead for the most part of Dragon Ball Z and Super, but even so, they have that special “something” that can conquer the hearts of the fans. Therefore, let’s hope that the devs of Sparking! ZERO will find a way to integrate them into the story of the upcoming game!

Those are just some of the ideas that the devs of Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO can have for their upcoming game. Feel free to mention your own in the comments section!

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
