Elon Musk Changed the Policy

A few hours after users started reporting issues, the site’s billionaire owner tweeted that temporary limitations had been implemented “to address extreme levels of data scraping and system manipulation.”

Many people voiced their annoyance and dissatisfaction with the connectivity issues. So, soon after that, “Wtf Twitter” and “Thanks Elon,” were highly trending.

According to a tweet Musk sent, unverified accounts are restricted to reading just 600 posts per day, whereas verified accounts are allowed to read up to 6,000 posts per day. Here’s the deal. There are now 300 new posts made each day by unconfirmed users. That is a rather surprising fact!

On the other hand, Musk stated later that he would “soon” be increasing the restriction to 8,000 tweets per day for verified users, 800 for unconfirmed users, and up to 400 for new unverified accounts.

Users of Twitter experienced comparable widespread service disruptions in March, which was one of the most significant outages that have occurred since Elon Musk took over as CEO. On that particular occasion, more than 8,000 customers reported experiencing difficulties.
