I’ve never complained about the endless types of weapons and armors in a game, so why not add a ton of them with these following mods? Prepare to check out interesting armors, awesome cloaks, wearable lanterns, and deadly cabbages. Yes, cabbages.
If you haven’t installed a mod until now, you should read our installing guide that will help you make all mods work in various combinations – it’s a must! You can also check our other Top Skyrim Mods on PC where we showed you the best mods to tweak and add NPCs, Followers and Monsters Part I and Part II, and these amazing Graphics Improvements. They work perfectly with the following mods.
Immersive Weapons
The best mod for weapons is this one called Immersive Weapons, by Hothtrooper. It comes with more than 250 weapons and 21 archetypes that can be bought, looted or crafted. The great thing about this mod adding so many weapons is that they have been designed to co-exist, to keep the game balanced and to work with the lore.
Immersive Armors
If you choose the previous mod from Hothtrooper, then get the Immersive Armors too. It also brings hundreds of pieces of armor and shields that are lore-appropriate. And yes, it comes with scarves and eye patches to help you prepare for anything!
Cloaks of Skyrim
You need to wear a cloak to show everyone you are a hero! It’s something we all see in RPGs, so why not add them in Skyrim? Cloaks of Skyrim mod brings almost 100 styles of cloaks to the game – they can be tattered, monstrous looking or faction-specific. NPCs will also wear these cloaks and guards will look so mean!
Bandoliers
This mod will add many pouches, bags, and bandoliers you can strap on yourself, and if you want to look more like a wizard, you can also choose the book and vial holders that are not just pretty to look at, but also handy. This is not a fancy cosmetic mod, but also an improvement to your inventory, as it adds new item slots so you can fill it with all the junk – err I mean items – you want.
Wearable Lanterns
Finally, a place to keep your lantern! Had enough of carrying that lantern in your bag or holding it yourself? This mod will let you strap it on your belt or give it to one of your followers to hold it for you. Now you’ll need that 5 follower mod, with the least bright one (get it?) being assigned to hold or wear the lantern.
Deadly Cabbages
And finally, the mod you won’t be able to live without once you get it: the magical cabbage! Throw it at your enemies, and you’ll know what I mean.
Keep your eyes peeled for our next series of Top Skyrim Mods on PC, where we will feature new combat and magic content.
